THE KIND HEARTED HUMAN

THE KIND HEARTED HUMAN

It is my habit to start the day with a newspaper and cup of tea.  Now I am thinking to put off the habit of reading newspaper in the morning.

It is of course advisable to start the day with positive things.  Our normal activities in the morning are all positive things like cleaning ourselves, prayer etc.  This is being sabotaged by the newspaper with full of negative facts.

Yesterday, I opened the newspaper and was horrified to read the news about the murder of a school boy by his classmate.  I was shocked to read about the vengeance the convict boy carried and the way in which he planned to kill his classmate.

What is happening to our children ?  Or else what is happening to
us ?  Are we not responsible for the misbehaviour of our children ?  I read that the father of the convicted boy has married thrice or four times.  It was very evident that the poor boy missed a home of his own.  He was cared by his parents.  The news states that the boy got the inspiration  from the holly-wood movies.

I think we have to rethink about the role we play as parents.  It is our duty to bring up the next generation as dutiful,  human loving and kind hatred citizens.  I don’t think we are full filling that duty as  parents.  Most of the parents are worried about their children only.  They feel that it is not their duty to care about the welfare of others.  They teach their children the same thing  and prefers their children to be selfish.  They think that then only their children will be successful in their life.

Just think about the way in which this universe exists.  Even the planets are complementing each others.  The nature and the living things exist in this universe by  self help through mutual help basis.  We breath oxygen and give out carbon dioxide and the plants takes in this carbon dioxide and give out oxygen.    Even in human life, we cannot lead a life of our own, without anybody’s help.  We have to depend upon others for many of our needs and the same is the case with others also.  I don’t think this a strange philosophy for us and we all know this.  Even then, we try our level best to remain selfish and not to meddle with other people’s sufferings.  When we read about the tragedy of others, it is just a news for us.  When it happens to you ar your beloveds, then only we understand the depth of these tragedies.

It is time for us to think about the life of others, their sufferings and try to help others as far as possible.  Though as single individual we cannot do many things, as a group we can do wonders.  There is a clear example of   Kidney Donors forum formed by Kochouseph Chittilappally and a human loving priest.  These two people have set an example by donating their kidney to two patients.  Now they have formed a group of persons who volunteer themselves to donate their kidneys.

At least we can hope that there are people who care for others and who try to do something to eradicate the sufferings of other people.
